Upper School

The Upper School academic program begins at 8:20 AM and ends at 3:20 PM Monday through Thursday and ends at 12:30 PM on Friday. The Upper School doors open at 7:30 AM each day so that students may participate in organized activities, meet with teachers, or prepare for the school day. Upper School students are enrolled in five academic and two elective courses and follow a modified block schedule. On Monday, students attend all seven classes and the same two core academic courses on Wednesday and Friday then the same on Tuesday and Thursday. Bible is taught as an academic course daily as are elective courses at the end of the day. Upper School students may choose to enroll in beginning and advanced levels of Foreign Language (French, Greek, Latin, or Spanish, American Sign Language), Art, Pottery, Graphic Design, Yearbook, Study Hall, or a wide variety of online courses proctored by a member of the CCS Faculty. Enrichment activities and athletics are available to Upper School students after school; however, after-school care is not available for students in 9th grade and above.
